ounded in 1951 by Mr. James F. Seward, we became the first sales agency for The Dow Chemical Company’s latest patented creation, STYROFOAM^® BRAND INSULATON. Mr. Seward’s first contract was to re-insulate all of Swift Corporation’s insulated railroad boxcars. Mr. Seward was also responsible for the first commercial application of foundation insulation for Elkhart High School, Elkhart, Indiana, in 1952.

Since then, Seward Sales has enjoyed a 60-year continuous contractual relationship with Dow Chemical. Together, we helped pioneer many new markets including commercial, roofing, residential, manufactured housing, recreational vehicle, low temperature, tapered roof insulation, and the agricultural market to name a few.
